MINNEAPOLIS, October 6, 2020 – Structural is a finalist for the Minnesota Technology Association 2020 Tekne Awards in the Technology Partnership category. For the past two decades, the Tekne Awards have recognized organizations that are leading-edge innovators in science and technology throughout Minnesota. The 2020 Tekne Awards celebration on Nov. 18 will reveal winners among the finalists in 16 categories.
Structural is a finalist in the Technology Partnership award category for work on developing a dynamic people directory with an Internal Opportunity Marketplace. This software seamlessly matches unique skill sets, interests and development goals with internal projects, gigs, roles, training opportunities and more.
It all starts with data-rich employee profiles which are built by compiling information typically siloed across business systems (think: CRM, project, HRIS, and other data) and organizing that data around each individual in an organization. These profiles are 100% searchable via advanced filters and keywords like skills, interests, roles, client relationships, projects, capacity and more.
The Internal Opportunity Marketplace is powered by that same robust profile data. It serves up and highlights opportunities that exist organization-wide, like short gigs, key projects, long and short-term roles, sales support, volunteering, learning, and mentoring.
With Structural, empowered individuals are always connected to opportunities and one another.
“Structural has done for complex enterprises what LinkedIn has done for the outside world.”

Each year, the Tekne Awards shine a spotlight on the people and organizations driving Minnesota’s innovation economy,” said Jeff Tollefson, President and CEO of the Minnesota Technology Association. “This year, we are excited to honor those organizations that played a significant role in spearheading science and technology innovation in Minnesota and around the world.”
